about

'meet me in montauk' was literally the first song i ever wrote that i thought was any good, haha. it was the beginning, though i didn't know it at the time, of what was to be this.. my love affair with music. really this album is something of a memoir; a raw journal, a pile of homemade tracks that i've somehow poured more emotion into than i thought was possible. i've been collecting these songs, so to speak, over the past five years and have finally come to peace with letting them all go. each one of them has come to represent those moments alone in my room at night (which is where i recorded all of these, if the white noise wasn't already a give away ha), those moments i wished i could find the courage to say certain things to a certain someone, those moments where i felt my heart swallowing me, those moments where i was too happy to do anything else. they have, in essence, represented the messiness and the joy of simply being alive.
